Our Design Process

Project Workflow.

The following is a basic outline of the workflow for most graphic design projects.

Project Planning.

Type and Size of printed piece: Business Cards, Letterhead, Business Stationery, Brochures, Newsletters, Mailers, Logos, Signs, Banners, etc.
Target Market: Knowing who your potential customers are enables us to implement different stylings that appeal to various demographics. Your printed materials should draw your potential customers in and lead them to find out more about you, and ultimately, purchase your products/services.
Layout & Style: We will examine ways of using color schemes, layout, sizing, and style in your printed material to clearly communicate your message to your target audience.
Content: pre-existing logos, color schemes, photos, taglines, and copy - deadlines will be set for submission of content to the designer.
Paper stock & Printing Process: spot colors, 4-color process, lamination, die cuts, Aqeous and UV coating, etc. Review of paper choices and press options.

Proposal and Cost Estimates.

Once the project specifications are defined, a cost estimate based on the hourly rate and the number of hours needed to complete the project will be submitted to you for review, usually within three business days. A Statement of Work Proposal will be drawn up outlining the project and will include development details, project schedule and milestones (if needed), payment terms, deliverables dates, the cost estimate, etc.

The Contract.

DNA requires all clients to approve and sign a contract that will protect both DNA and the client, and provide a solid expectation and agreement about creation and delivery of the project. The contract will evolve from the Statement of Work and will be legally binding upon both the client and DNA. Work will not commence until a signed contract has been received by DNA.

Client Feedback.

Scheduled feedback will take place based on number of revisions spec’d in contract. Client feedback and approvals necessary to achieve scheduled project milestones are mandatory to ensure timely advancement of the project. Your input is valued and necessary for project deadlines to be met as scheduled.

“I like the way you do business - very personal, and reliable.  Emails and phone calls are always answered.  I like your creativity ... you have done a wonderful job with my web site, business cards and postcards.  I will have to recommend DNA to other friends of mine who run small businesses.”

“Demers,Negrete & Associates have more then met our expectations.

When we first approached them about creating a logo for our school we thought it would be a lengthy process. To our surprise Michael had proofs to us with in days. We are very please with the result and have only received compliment after compliment.

Thank you DNA for giving us a professional look."
